Success is Holistic

Success is never one-dimensional because humans by nature are never one-dimensional. We are beings that crave for accomplishment and for nourishment. We crave for relation and we also need our material needs met. We should therefore aim for holistic success, success that involves the mind, body and spirit; success that satisfies our relational needs as well as our tangible material needs.

We need to gain and maintain a balance on our journey towards success of any kind. We, as humans are multi-layered, multi-dimensional beings that need nourishment in many different ways- spiritually, physically and mentally.

True success is met in a place of holistic success!

Be intentional

Success by dictionary definition is the accomplishment of goals. A goal is the object of a person’s ambition or effort; an aim or desired result. What do these two statements tell us? “Success is intentional!” To achieve a goal, you have to intend to achieve it. In being intentional, you need to make a plan and follow it through.

Do you want to achieve success? First thing-be intentional.

People Influence Our Success

There is no such thing as a ‘self-made’ man. We are made up of thousands of others. Everyone who has ever done a kind deed for us, or spoken one word of encouragement to us, has entered into the make-up of our character and of our thoughts, as well as our success.

-George Matthew Adams-

George Matthew Adams (August 23, 1878 – October 29, 1962) was an American newspaper columnist and founder of the George Matthew Adams Newspaper Service, which syndicated comic strips and columns to newspapers for five decades. His own writings were circulated widely to The Gettysburg Times and many other newspapers. (From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia)

Needless to repeat, people greatly influence our success. The important thing to note is that we have a choice on who influences us. If our success is so heavily influenced by positivity from people, we need to choose who our influences will be. We need to carefully decide who we let into our minds, and eventually our make-up and our life story.
